Sunderland was Red-Carded for elbowing of Stephane Sessegnon Cheick Tiote and Captain Lee Cattermole was sent after full-time in the 1-1 tie.
The Football Association said the costs associated with an incident after a late challenge from James McClean on Newcastle by Danny Simpson.
Both clubs are asked to discuss the incident further hearings personal.

McClean was shown a yellow card by referee Mike Dean for the deal on Simpson, whose angry response also earned a warning.The FA said in a statement: "the indictment is that the clubs to their players conducted themselves in an orderly manner and/or provocative behaviour of apart and is relative to an incident that occurred in the 19th minute after a challenge by the Sunderland James McClean on Newcastle by Danny Simpson failed."
It was one of a number of flashpoints during a stormy contest at the sports arena, with Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill and direct Newcastle counterpart Alan Pardew also becoming involved in an angry Exchange.
Eight players were booked and Sunderland Pardew later criticized for an "ugly" approach, a claim rejected by O'Neill.
Cattermole was banned for four matches for his resignation and Sessegnon received a three-game suspension.
